After its recent transportation from the aluminum metalwork site in Condé en Normandie, the hull of the Garcia Exploration 60 has arrived at the assembly site in Cherbourg-en-Cotentin. The quintessential aluminium cruising and expedition yacht in the 60-foot category, the Garcia Exploration 60 still requires a few thousands hours of work before her launch, scheduled for Spring 2022.
These for example include painting the deck, fitting the thermal insulation, installing the appendages (rudders and centreboard), fitting the engine, installing the various electrical, electronic, hydraulic and fluid systems, installing the generators, hydro generators and solar panels, fitting the floors and furnitures, fitting the double glazed windows and portholes and finally fitting the stainless steel parts, mast and rigging…
All these phases mobilising the skills, expertise and involvement of the Garcia Yachts teams and the almost 20 different crafts operating on site.
