For its 12th edition, the Blue Water Cruising Seminar, organised by the Grand Large Yachting group, will be held on 1st and 2nd February 2025 aboard the iconic Thalassa barge in Paris. This unique setting will welcome aspiring sailors, boat owners and blue water cruising experts for two days of sharing and discoveries.

Open to all, this unique event is aimed at both experienced sailors and those dreaming of casting off for the first time. Over the course of two days, inspiring stories and talks will cover the essential aspects of blue water cruising. Whether you’re wondering about choosing a boat, managing life on board, the equipment you’ll need or safety at sea, this seminar is designed to provide you with practical answers tailored to your project.

This year’s seminar will be featuring a number of prestigious speakers:

  • Isabelle Autissier, racing sailor and author, will share her views on the challenges and pleasures of ocean cruising.
  • Christian Dumard, a meteorology expert, will help you gain a better understanding of the climatic conditions of far-flung destinations.
